Patrick Flynn, CPA, CPC, CVA is
the managing partner of the Firm.
During his 22-year career in public accounting, Patrick has
concentrated on assisting individuals and privately held businesses in all
facets of finance, tax and accounting. Patrick
has also worked extensively with qualified retirement plans and
professional athletes, and has appeared in court as an expert witness in
business and divorce matters. Patrick
started his career working for KPMG and Laventhol and Horwath, two of the
largest international accounting firms.
He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, Greater
Washington Society of CPAs, Maryland Society of Accountants, a
Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) with the American Society of Pension
Professionals and
Actuaries, and a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) with the National
Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. Patrick
obtained his B.S.B.A. from
Duquesne
University, and a M.S. in Taxation from
Georgetown
University. In Pat's
spare time, he enjoys golf, physical fitness activities, Scuba diving and is
an active Scuba diving instructor. Pat resides in
North Potomac
with his wife and two children.
William T. Abell
, CPA, CVA is a partner of the
firm with over 22 years experience in accounting, taxation, and automated
accounting and tax systems.
Bill worked for
PricewaterhouseCoopers for 16 years in tax services and in automating
corporate and individual tax compliance for clients as well as the firm
itself before joining Flynn, Abell & Associates, LLC.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants, the Greater Washington Society of CPAs and is a Certified
Valuation Analyst (CVA) with the National Association of Certified
Valuation Analysts.
Bill earned a B.S. in Accounting from the
University
of
Kentucky
and an M.S. in Taxation from
Florida
International
University
. He resides in
Washington,
DC.
Hannah Nielsen
is the firm's office administrator, and is in her second year with Flynn,
Abell & Associate, LLC. Hannah has a B.S. in Geography and
Environmental Planning from Towson University, is currently working on her
Masters in Accountancy, and resides in Adelphi,
Maryland.
